A Bangkok-based illustrator and artist known as ‘MEALEE’ (b.1997) focuses on creating artworks that reinterpret everyday events and societal issues with sarcasm and irony. Social and political themes drive her work, aiming to provoke discussion and reflection. She have a keen interest in capturing human movements, postures, and expressions, incorporating quirky and humorous elements to enhance relatability. She believes that incorporating more people into their artworks increases their impact.
Meanlee illustration style is influenced by pop art, characterized by vibrant colors and detailed outlines. While she mainly use digital tools and acrylic paint, she also enjoy experimenting with other mediums such as spray paint and risograph to achieve diverse and challenging effects in their artwork.
